In-Person Worship

We invite you to join us as we gather together for in-person worship services. We can’t wait to connect and interact with you! In order to do that safely, we have listed 3 steps that we kindly ask you to complete in order to finish the reservation process.

Those who are members of vulnerable or at-risk groups are invited to continue worshiping from home. Your safety is priority. To join our livestream on Sunday, click the Livestream button on our homepage.

Part 1: COVID-19 Screening

This screening tool is designed for your safety and the safety of those worshiping with you. We ask you to please read and answer the questions below. This information will not be collected by Westminster United Church.

  1. Does anyone in your party have any of the following symptoms: fever/feverish (temperature of 37.8°C or greater), new or existing cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, changes to sense of taste or smell, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, runny nose, or nasal congestion (not caused by seasonal allergies)?
  2. Has anyone in your party traveled internationally within the last 14 days (outside Canada)?
  3. Has anyone in your party had close contact with a confirmed or probable COVID-19 case?

If you answered NO to all of the questions above, we welcome you to attend the next available church service. If you answered YES to any of the questions above, please enjoy our livestreamed service from home.

For more detailed information on Prevention and Risk of COVID-19 and Measures to Reduce COVID-19 we recommend you consult official documentation provided by the Canadian government.

Part 2: Sunday Worship Service Reservation

Reserve your spot for the in-person Sunday Worship service using Eventbrite, an online ticketing tool, located below or by phoning the church (905) 723-6442. Reserve a place for yourself and each family member for Sunday Worship NO LATER than the Friday prior at 12 noon. This allows time for us to have the correct number of seats properly distanced and provides information for contact tracing should the need arise.

Part 3: Preventative Measures

Before you leave home: Don’t forget to wash your hands with soap and water, bring a face mask that covers both your nose and mouth and arrive 15 minutes before the start of the service. We recognize that not everyone can wear a mask due to medical reasons. Again, if you are in a vulnerable or at-risk group, online services are available.

At church: Please remember to wear your mask**; keep a physical distance of 6 feet at all times and remain in your family group; enter the church building through the main front door only; the ushers will warmly welcome you and happily guide you to your seat.

**We understand that for medical reasons some are unable to wear masks. Again, if you are in a vulnerable or at-risk group, online services are available.**
