Westminster United Church Worship
We invite you to join us as we continue to gather for in-person worship services. We cannot wait to connect and interact with you!
We are a mask-friendly community of faith. With COVID continuing to be part of our lives and the flu season now upon us, we strongly encourage continued mask wearing when attending in person worship. Keep a safe distance from others as you are able.
We continue to offer a live stream of worship services via YouTube to provide an option to Worship from home. To join our livestream on Sunday, click the Livestream button on our Worship page.
COVID-19 Screening
The COVID screening tool is designed for your safety and the safety of those worshiping with you. We ask you to please read and answer the questions below.
1. Does anyone in your party have any of the following symptoms: fever/feverish (temperature of 37.8°C or greater), new or existing cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, changes to sense of taste or smell, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, runny nose, or nasal congestion (not caused by seasonal allergies)?
2. Has anyone in your party had close contact with a confirmed or probable COVID-19 case?
If you answered NO to the questions above, we welcome you to attend the next available church service. If you answered YES to any of the questions above, please enjoy our livestreamed service from home.
For more detailed information on Prevention and Risk of COVID-19 and Measures to Reduce COVID-19 we recommend you consult official documentation provided by the Canadian government.
Preventative Measures – COVID and Flu
We strongly encourage you to wear a mask. Enter the church building through the main front door only; the ushers will warmly welcome you and happily guide you to your seat.
Ontario Public Health states: “We know what works. Mask. Hand washing. Distancing. Vaccination.” Please undertake these responsibilities as you are able in all these service activities to protect yourself, our fellow church members, and the community at large.
As stated on the Durham Region Health site, COVID-19 Update – Region of Durham, “The flu shot can help to reduce your chances of being infected with COVID-19 and the flu at the same time…” By getting a flu shot you are not only protecting yourself but also those individuals in your community and at our church. We encourage individuals to get your flu shot immediately.
