2019 AIDS International Candlelight Memorial, in partnership with AIDS Committee of Durham Region Sunday, May 26 // 7:00-8:00 p.m.//WUC Sanctuary

A meaningful ceremony remembering friends and family lost to AIDS/HIV and raising awareness.  An evening for community solidarity, breaking down barriers of stigma and discrimination, and giving hope for the future.  A time of visiting with one another over refreshments will take place in the narthex after the service.  “The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is one of the world’s oldest and largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV awareness…led by 1,200 community organizations in 115 countries.”  https://www.candlelightmemorial.org/about.html
